One success can change your life.
When you start on a course, people will try and dissuade you, because they're kind, considerate, oh-so-loving people who just don't want to see their friend get pricked by life's thorns. Oh my, what a TRAGEDY! You'll start by not listening to them, but as you progress on the path, it becomes harder to justify to yourself.
Unless you have a success.
For me, I knew that I wanted to make a living from blogging at the exact moment Rowland had an epiphany with my help. That was the one success that propelled me into putting my heart and soul behind it. The one success doesn't have to be a huge one. A musician doesn't need 'one world tour' to do it. One gig, one person liking their music: that's all it takes. Success drives us onwards, and one success can snowball into many.
This blog started going when I got one hit, one follower, one comment from people I didn't know personally. They were successes. I intend to have many more successes. I should have one success in making a fully-fledged lightworker very soon. Rowland may already be there. I'll have to ask him. If he's truly a lightworker he won't have any doubts: if he's still not sure, he just needs to continue on the path he's on. And then he'll have his string of 'one success' stories. And so on, and so forth.
I'm sure you can recognise the Power of One in your life. One 'A' grade, one person said 'Yes' when you asked them out, one game won at Chess, Checkers, etc. It opens the doorway. That one success is saying 'Yes. I do have the power to do X, and I know I can do it, because now I've done it.'A success is a powerful incentive to stay on the path. How much less doubt would you have if you knew you could do it? The answer is no doubt at all, if you truly knew. I sometimes doubt myself, but I just need to look back at my successes.
One trial complete. One comment by a stranger. One life changed. One link received. One tournament win, so long ago. Even when I was a baby. One step. One word. Our parents knew the value of the Power of One. If you can do one, you can do two, and five, and ten, a hundred, a thousand!
If you're on a path, most likely it started with the Power of One. Never underestimate the One's power. That One is reassurance against a thousand nonbelievers, a thousand criticisms, and a thousand judgements. The One proves them all wrong.
But you have to persevere, especially in a difficult field. It's easier to win one game of Chess than it is to score one music gig, or win one spar at Karate (it takes weeks before you're even ALLOWED to spar, and that's mainly avoiding knocking knees with your opponent), but persevere, and you'll get the One, and all of a sudden, you're on the path.
The One has powers that will change your life. Believe me, I know. This is probably the most passionate post I've ever written because I can feel it's power, and feel the truth in it. Who knows: maybe it's another One.
Until next time, may you only need one.

I really like what you are doing here. Your writings are inspirational and contain good ideas in a reader-friendly format. Also even though there are an abundance of self-improvement sites out there, yours is unique in the way that you are actually doing something to change your life right now instead of just giving "expert advice".
ReplyDeleteI've been "planning" to start my own 30-day trials for some time now, but only after discovering your blog and following your success have I been inspired to take action. I too intend to start blogging about my experiences some point in the future, but that time is not yet at hand.
So I'd like to thank you for providing me with the spark of motivation needed to start making positive changes in my life.
Wow, Pekka: Thanks! I'm glad you like the blog and my writing style, and whether I was 'reader-friendly' was something I was wondering. You've certainly made my day!
